Purple Pete the Octopus

Whenever I go ‘to town’, Mattie always gets a new toy. (The girls constantly remind me that I should think of our poor cat Missy once in a while and look into some toys or cat trees for her!) But anyway, some toys I bring home for Mattie are hits, some are duds. Stuffies are always a huge hit, but sadly, don’t usually stand up to Great Dane play standards. (Most are usually in the garbage by the end of the night.)
About two months ago, I brought home Purple Pete, and this is what he looks like today:
Poor Pete has been chewed on, thrown around and drooled on incessantly. And he has taken it all like a trooper! I paid about $25 for him, but he’s proven to be well worth the money. He’s extremely well made, as you can see:
The only wear and tear I can find to date on Pete (besides dog hair and slobber) is this loose stitch:
I highly recommend this brand of dog toy for any breed, big or small, but especially those gentle giants who are less than gentle on their stuffies!
So a fabulous toy….. although I must admit, the name ‘Purple Pete’ makes me giggle just a teeny bit!

That is one pampered pooch!
I’ll have to invest in one of these as Bert (Bassett Hound) tends to kill his toys too!

I think our weiner dog, Oscar would love this.
Chels (our Dane) had a fair few cheap stuffed rabbits. I paid a bit more for her ‘Kong Snuggly’ which looks alot like your octupus and it was worth it…Its taken a beating and still going strong
