Mattie’s big day…

Mikayla and I headed to ‘the big city’ today for Mattie’s vet appointment. (Mikayla only came because I bribed her, as I needed someone to sit in the car with Mattie (a/c running) while I ran errands afterward! She didn’t want home theater carpet ~go figure~ but the third & fourth book in the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer.)
Mattie has developed a strange rash, and I wanted him to have some blood work done (it’s a good baseline to have), and also a general check-up. It was all fun and games (and new sights and smells) until they started poking needles in him! Poor guy - he stood and shook and shivered, while his hair fell out in bunches!
The vet and her assistants were very good, and of course they thought he was wonderful :-) She gave him a script for antibiotics and a dose of de-wormer. He couldn’t wait to get out of there, and even refused the treat they tried to give him!
It must have been a really rough day as he’s been cuddled up on his bed sleeping ever since we got home

Aw, Katie and Zoe send hugs. They went through the same thing a couple of weeks ago - just to update shots, etc. Fortunately, neither of them shed but they shake like mad, especially the schnauzer, Zoe. She is super sensitive and very protective of us. Katie - she loves everybody. But she would not look the vet in the eye. Not for a treat, nothing! The vet cracked up!

Poor baby boy Mattie! Who likes to be poked with needles? I sure don’t, and I have to have it done every week. Glad he’s okay.

Needles suck but its better to be safe than sorry…Love Matty’s bed, Im still trying to find one that is indestructable fro Chels
