Here today, gone tomorrow

… unless it keeps raining of course!

The weather at the lake has been beautiful all week, but started to change today so I decided it was a good day to come home and do some laundry. I checked the weather report and it doesn’t look good for the next few days, so we shall see how long I last camping in the rain. (I’m a fair-weather camping kind of gal!)

So far, both girls have been having a great time zipping around the lake on the SeaDoo. The Mountie has even taught Mikayla how to drive the big SeaDoo:

Of course his intentions were purely selfish, as they soon found out:

He needed someone to drive the big SeaDoo so he can knee board and water ski! Boys! They never grow up! :-) (By the way, SeaDoo’s don’t need car insurance, but you do need good liability insurance for them!)

Anyway, Mikayla did very well pulling her Dad around the lake, and soon got her turn:

She got up on her first try, and went all around the lake! Kristanna didn’t want to water ski or knee board, so spent her time giving rides to her friends and the kids she babysits.

It’s costing us a lot in gas, but we’ve never once heard the words “I’m bored”, so we figure it’s well worth it! :-)

    I’m with you on the fair weather camping. I don’t care to be out there in the rain either. Or the cold.

    Looks like everyone is having a great time. It’s what summer is all about. Enjoy. Have a great weekend. Big hug. :)

    Looks like you guys had a great time. I’ve been hiking mountains and sleeping in the dirt all summer…on fires. LOL!

    What a beautiful place to pass the time! One of our favorite places to camp was up by Lake Tahoe. Give me water, trees and a good place to sleep and I’m a happy camper!
    Love the SeaDoo, too. I wish to heck we’d had one when the kids were little. Hearing “I’m bored” on vacation used to drive me nuts…
    ~~~Blessings~~~
