Gone, gone, gone, she’s been gone so long…

Sorry - I just haven’t been in the blogging mood lately. Much of it has to do with the fact that the SUN actually came out and it stopped friggin SNOWING!

Our little town has been alive this weekend with people (gasp!) outdoors - walking, doing yard work and having BBQ’s. And speaking of BBQ’s, we headed to a friend’s Friday night and had fresh pacific oysters cooked over the campfire.

I’m really not one for oysters (unless there are freshwater pearls in them!), but couldn’t resist the little ones wrapped in bacon. Anything is good when it’s wrapped in bacon.

Saturday and today were spent doing some serious Spring cleaning. I took a huge load to the landfill, an even bigger one to the second hand store, and got all my recycling delivered to the proper containers.

Although some global citizen I am - I completely forgot about Earth Hour last night. Did anyone else take part?

I’m feeling the same. I think I’m just burnt out. I don’t want to blog. Did I say that? Have a great day. :)

can’t eat shellfish….but I love bacon. I don’t buy any for home…cause it would be gone in a day or two.

I’ve been going through closets and stuff too….give away…throw away…put away….too much stuff!!!!

I agree with the bacon comment - yum!

We forgot about Earth Hour, even though our metropolitan area is one of this country’s “flagship” cities for this new campaign.

    Oh well.

Ah, bacon … food of the Gods!

I feel pretty uninspired myself but I can’t let myself get too far behind or I’ll be bluried (that’s blog + buried in Mimi speak!).

Gord dug a path to our BBQ last weekend so we’ve been using it again.

Our terrace is STILL full of snow!

It sounds as if you’re off to a running start! But the oysters…I’d have to pass, unless you could wrap them in a whole pound of bacon. I’ve tried them every way possible: fried, on the half-shell, in stew, but they get halfway down my throat and whoops! Up they come again. I cannot for the life of me swallow them. And I do NOT have a weak stomach!
