First full day

Yesterday they went for all of two hours, but today is the first full day of Gr 9 for Mikayla and Gr 8 for Kristanna. Our town is teeny tiny, so there is one Elementary school (K-7) and one High school (8-12), so this is the first day of High school for Kristanna. She was a bit of a grump this morning, which is not usual for her, so I think she was a bit nervous about figuring out her schedule for the day.
Enter Big Sister to help, and all is good with the world again. 
It’ll take us a few days to get out of our Summer routine which consisted of staying up all hours of the night, and sleeping till noon. (We could have almost used cattle supplies like a cattle prod this morning - it was rough!)
BTW - the picture is of Kristanna’s first day of Preschool and Mikayla’s first day of Kindergarten…. back in the good old days. (sigh)

Ha - my younger sister’s first day of high school - the one thing she wanted from me was to STAY AWAY not help her!

My kids are in the middle of week four of school, and they STILL have a difficult time getting to bed on time and waking up without being grumpy.
I think it only gets worse as they get older. Sigh.
Amanda had a half day today and is in for a full day tomorrow so it’s back to the grindstone for her. Hard to believe she’s a Junior this year!
